Change Is Growing...

It's time for change!!! But not only in America.

4000 Iraqi women are in the current elections, only the 2nd since the demise of Saddam Hussein. The initial backlash for women from fundamentalists was to revert back to the home while covering themselves. But the energy of change has moved through the globe and they are now entering into politics with a purpose. There is a rule that every 3rd seat be given to a woman, but it is also contingent on the distribution of votes through the parties. However, many of the ladies running are doing so with change on their minds and hope in their hearts. Death threats are common to the women who refuse to follow fundamentalist ideas of a proper woman. Feminists everywhere need to cheer and back the energy coming out of Iraq. Woman power!!!
