Race for the Cure!

This year will mark my third year of participation in the annual Susan G Komen Race for the Cure...only this year I've set the stakes high: I want to raise 1000!! This is my largest fund raising goal yet but I'm determined to make it happen. So even if you can give a dollar here and there it will add up!! I'm trying to plant a donation jar at the Women's Studies dept. at ODU and at my work as well, so hopefully I'll be able to get a lot of pocket change/bills.

I've been training and working hard and have some fundraising ideas, so if you can help me out, please do! Also you can join our team!! I'm having t-shirts made and they are sharp! Me, Andy, and his family will be on the team and hopefully with that many people we will be able to reach our goal. To donate online and check out my Team Page, click here. Thank you for all the support and wish me luck in my upcoming training sessions to get ready for the big race on October 16!

FROM SUSAN G KOMEN:

Dear Friends and Family,

I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the Tidewater Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure by participating in the October 16th Race for the Cure. The goal is to raise $400,000 through donations. Your donation is greatly appreciated.

Please help support me in this important project by contributing generously to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Tidewater Affiliate. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund education, screening and treatment programs in the 21 counties that the Tidewater Affiliate covers in Southeastern Virginia as well as supporting research and development. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below. More information on Komen Tidewater and its programs can be found at www.komentidewater.org

Whatever you can give will help it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.

Sincerely,

Brook Buesking
